Bulk Nutrients Protein Powder Review: Whey Isolate

Yo,

The Bulk Nutrients Protein powder is one that I believe goes under the radar, most likely because the other options are highly marketed. In fact, I learned about this protein powder from a very close friend of mine, where we were discussing protein powder and he told me about it.

I was intrigued by it, considering that the only protein powder companies I knew about were Musashi, Myprotein and the Optimum. I’ve since used the bulk nutrients protein powder a lot, so of course, we’ll be going through a review today. Specifically, we will be looking at their Whey Protein Isolate.

You and I will go through the warning of this protein powder, then we’ll go through the nutrients and ingredients breakdown, the price per serving, and why and where to buy. Finally, you and I will go through the pros and cons, and finish with a rating and overall value.

Thank you for providing me with your time today, I hope to make it worth it. Let’s get into it!

Your warning

As always, it is important to ask yourself if you should even take protein powder. Protein powder is a wonderful supplement, and for good reason too, but you shouldn’t be so quick to jump into it.

Remember that whole foods are superior to supplements. Think “whole foods first, then protein powder”.

Whole foods will provide you with an array of nutrients that protein powder simply cannot. It is a supplement, designed to be an addition to what you’re already eating. A top off, if you will.

This will allow you to maximise the benefits if you look at it through those lens.

Furthermore, ask yourself if you’ve actually been trying to maximise your current protein intake. Have you been adding protein to every meal? Have you been providing yourself with more time throughout the day to eat more protein?

These are necessary questions to ask yourself. If you’ve already done all these things, then please, read on!

Nutrients and ingredients breakdown

Let’s first go through the macros.

The following macros are from their “banana” flavour (my personal favourite!), using a 30g serving size:

Calories: 115

Protein: 26.6g

Fat: 0.3g

Carbs: 0.8g

The macros are very competitive to the market. You are not missing out on anything, the protein is good, and the fats and carbs are what you’d want from a whey isolate product. Additionally, the calories are what you’d want from an isolate; low!

There are a few things that make this protein powder stand out though, which we’ll soon go through.

Let’s now go through the flavour options.

If you’re thinking about purchasing the whey isolate option from bulk nutrients, you’ll be pleased to look at the array of flavours:

  • Banana
  • Chocolate
  • Choc Honeycomb
  • Choc Ice Cream
  • Choc Peanut
  • Cookies & Cream
  • Iced Coffee
  • Raw (unflavoured)
  • Salted Caramel
  • Strawberry
  • Vanilla
  • Vanilla Maple

When considering the flavour options on the majority of isolate powders in the market, this is certainly on the higher end. There are many flavours that you can choose from, and even better, there is a box where you can submit suggestions for flavours!

Finally, let’s go through the ingredients.

Ingredients for bulk nutrients whey isolate

This is the standout feature of this product, there are so few ingredients!

The max amount of ingredients you’ll get are 4, and the lowest amount you’ll get is 2!

You’ll get two ingredients if you choose the unflavoured option, with the sweeteners being removed, and you’ll get four ingredients if you choose chocolate, salted caramel and choc peanut!

This is the best variability of ingredient I’ve ever seen so far. This is the best aspect of this product by far. There no emulsifiers and vegetable gums. The only ingredient that you might be wary of is Sucralose, but that’s just about it. You can also email them if you have any questions.

Feel safe, knowing that the ingredient list is amazing.

Price per serving

At the time of writing, the whey isolate sizing options are only in one size, which is 1kg. They’ve stated that there is 33 servings per package. The price is $43 (AU) at the time of writing, so that means the price per serving is $1.30.

That is excellent, and the lowest so far out of all the reviews we’ve gone through.

So although there is only one size, the price per serving for that size is very nice on your wallet. Another amazing standout feature of this product.

Why and where to buy

Let’s now get into why you’d want this product.

You’d want this product if you don’t have that much money to spend on a protein powder. Furthermore, if you are someone who likes to have minimal ingredients, wants a wide variety of flavour options, has gone through lab testing to ensure high-quality and has many reviews, then this would be an ideal product for you.

Definitely something to consider.

To buy this product, the best place is to visit their official website/store. You can ask questions over there and buy it straight from the source.

THE OVERALL VALUE is 4.6

I’ve been using this protein powder for the longest time and it is by far, my favourite. I love the ingredient list, the macros are excellent and it tastes amazing. Banana is my favourite, the flavour is not too sweet and it’s just right.

Bulk Nutrients have created a great protein powder here. I only wish that the sizes were more and bigger, that way I wouldn’t have to frequently buy, however that is my biggest criticism.

Thank you for your time today my friend. I hope I was able to expand your knowledge on this product.

Until we meet again!
